The trip take place in the Cojitambo area located at only 24 km. from the city of Cuenca; this is one of the 3 sacred mountains of the Cañari culture. The volcanic rock peak offers on the west side, many possibilities for rock climbing: sporting, traditional and artificial routes. Even it's possible to do some of Boulder on the base.
From the town of Cojitambo, we start the tour taking a 15 minute walk aprox. towards the base of the hill; afterwards the ascent is done in a low difficulty wall (5.7) of 60 mts high that leads to the saddle of the top north & south. In this place was set a sacred Cañari-Inca observatory. Ascending takes about 2 hours. Then continue descending through the famous Inca trail and observe the different types of cultivations, besides we can observe the andean indigenous habitat.
Note : For groups bigger than 10 pax, we operate in the area of Paute, which is one of the best places for rock climbing in the city.
